My name is John McGirr, I am a member of Wisewould Mahony’s litigation department. I have been at Wisewould Mahony for nearly ten years.
Prior to practicing law I completed a Bachelor of Arts with honours in history. I wrote my thesis on the Vietnam War and continue to be interested in anything from the rise and fall of the Persian empire to the two world wars. Law is not all that different from history – you read cases and decide what they mean.
We have a great litigation department. We do insolvency, professional indemnity, public liability and general commercial litigation. I think the most important aspect to being a litigator is identifying the facts and possible outcomes as early as possible. Then it’s a matter of trying to get the best outcome possible for your client.
Wisewould Mahony is a great place to work and I cannot see myself ever leaving.
